I have been taking photographs around my hometown of Telford (Shropshire), Lake District, and Wales, for the last 42 years. As you will see from my Portfolio, my preferred photographic subject is the landscape; in particular, the dramatic affect ever-changing weather conditions and seasons can have on our beautiful and diverse landscape. As a member of the Federation Internationale De L'Art Photographique, many of my images have been exhibited in national and international salons of photography, throughout the UK, Europe, USA, South America, and Canada. In June 2014, I was awarded the distinction of EFIAP/Silver by FIAP, in recognition of work accepted in international salons of photography. Many images have been reproduced in books, magazines and calendars. In 2010, image 'Power in the Mist' received the Environment Films 'Britain In Our Hands Award', and won a place in both the Lansdcape Photographer of the Year 2010 awards book, and was displayed as a print at the National Theatre exhibition in London. Images have been captured on Nikon DSLR's, and more recently Fujifilm (mirrorless) cameras. RAW files are currently processed in Adobe Camera RAW and Photoshop. Most images have been taken using a tripod and remote release to ensure optimum quality of the final image.
